I have been fascinated with all things capable of defying gravity for as long as I can remember. In March 2015, I followed that passion and joined Space Exploration Technologies as an engineer. In my current role, I collaborate with NASA to certify the Crew Dragon spacecraft and Falcon 9 rocket to carry future astronauts to the International Space Station. I am also a host of SpaceX live rocket launch webcasts and enjoy narrating rocket science for the broader public.
On weekends, I am an active volunteer and lead grant writer at Apex Protection Project, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to protecting wolves and wolfdogs through educational experiences, rescue, and advocacy. There, I help provide sanctuary and safety for rescued wolfdogs and further the organization's efforts to assist a nationwide network of wolf & wolfdog sanctuaries in the rescue and placement of animals across the United States.
When not at SpaceX or Apex, I can usually be found trying to fix my LandCruiser in preparation for our next outdoor adventure.
